On Saturday, February 27th I'm going to be Freezin' for a Reason ... to help raise funds for the Special Olympics Virginia. I'm am going to participate on The Engineering Groupe, Inc. team in the 7th Annual LETR Polar Plunge.
Special Olympics Virginia (SOVA) offers children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to experience the joy of training and competing in more than 20 different sports throughout the year. SOVA gives athletes the support they need and deserve in order to achieve their greatest dreams. With your help we can help people in need so that they can participate in athletics with SOVA and enjoy this enriching and meaningful life experience. As a plunger, I will be raising funds through pledges from family and friends. I know the economy is not so good right now, put if you could please make a tax deductible donation, it will be going to a good cause. Help Special Olympics Virginia build a more inclusive society and we will all win. Opening hearts, changing minds.
If you are would like to come out and support me and The Engineering Groupe team the pre-event festivities are from 10 am - 2 pm with the actual plunge at 2:30 pm. It's rain or shine, but if the weather is extremely bad it will be reschedule. So come out and enjoy the frigid fun at Tim's Rivershore Restaurant in Prince William County -1510 Cherry Hill Road, Dumfries, Virginia 22126.
I will leave you with the Special Olympics oath:
Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt. Be a fan of dignity, respect and fun.
Thank you for your support,
Nolan Gilbert
