Hello everyone viewing my fundraising page… I’m Noriko.
I work as an ABA instructor in Brooklyn and am volunteering with Global Autism for their signature fundraising event. If you ask me, I’m not sure how I got here. I’ve wanted to be a teacher since college, but never thought about working with children with special needs… until my path chose me. Now, I’ve worked with children with autism in multiple settings including as a nanny, ABA instructor, a camp counselor, and in the classroom.
No matter what I’m doing, my ambitions are the same. My goals are to work with children with disabilities in a positive surrounding, help children learn needed skills to live independently, and assist them to learn the necessary skills to play and develop alongside their peers in order to ensure their self-confidence.
Global Autism shares these similar goals, and I am very proud to support and spend my time volunteering for such a wonderful nonprofit organization. The Global Autism Project envisions a world where people with autism have access to services that enable them to reach their potential. They works towards this goal by forming partnerships with individuals and organizations currently working with individuals with autism and building local capacity to provide excellent services.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. I genuinely appreciate any contribution you make! Your assistance means so much to me, but even more to kids and families participating in the NYC Paddle Event!
