Recently, I took advantage of the National Service Dog Eye Exam Program sponsored by the ACVO and Sasquatch met with Dr. Michelle Willis, DVM DACVO at VESCONE in
Waltham MA .
After an extensive examination, she found 2 cysts growing on his left eyelids and has recommended immediate surgery so as to preserve the health and functionality of his good eye.
You may recall that 2 years ago, Sasquatch was diagnosed with a brain tumor which resulted in the muscles in the right side of his head to atrophy and this affected his right eye as well. With your kind generosity, we were able to raise funds so that Sasquatch could get the radiation therapy that he needed and because of your support, I am happy to report that he is currently in a state of remission!
Sasquatch again is facing the need for medical intervention and the recommended procedure is considered a minor surgery for his left eye, but the cost of this treatment is expensive and so I am trying to raise funds for Sasquatch's medical needs. I anticipate his medical expenses to reach $2,000.00
Sasquatch's surgery has been scheduled for June 19, 2008 with Dr. Kristi Zimmerman of Best Friends Animal Hospital in Manchester, NH. Your donation today will help tremendously to get Sasquatch the surgical intervention that he needs so that he can continue to work and keep me safe.
Thanks for your support ~ and please don't forget to forward this to anyone that you think might want to donate, too!
If you, or someone you show this to, prefer to send a donation directly to NEADS, mail to my name, c/o NEADS/Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans, PO Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583. Please indicate my name on your check. For questions, contact Donna Laconti, Program Support at NEADS, 978 422-9064 ext.21 or dlaconti@neads.org.
Each contribution will get me closer to my goal --- won't you consider donating toward Sasquatch's Medical Fund today?
With thanks in advance and all good wishes…..
Yours sincerely,
