2011 Pittsburgh Marathon
NuGo Nutrition is once again excited to raise money for Children's Alopecia Project or CAP as we run the Pittsburgh Marathon!
NuGo supports C.A.P because it is a non-profit that is very close to our hearts. The daughter of a NuGo team member, Alexi,was diagnosed with Alopecia at age 5 and lost her hair at age 6. Alexi lost her hair, but she has not lost her determination, her energy, and her love of life.
Alopecia is an incurable autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. Through Alexi and her family we learned about The Children's Alopecia Project. This is the only non-profit devoted specifically to the disease. The CAP's mission is to help any child in need who is living with this life altering disease. Their goal is to build self-esteem in children so they become stronger teens, more productive adults, and the advocates of tomorrow.
