NuGo Runs 2010 Pittsburgh Marathon for CAP
This year Team NuGo has decided to run the Pittsburgh Marathon for a nonprofit that is very close to our hearts. The daughter of a NuGo team member, Alexi,was diagnosed with Alopecia at age 5 and lost her hair at age 6. Alexi lost her hair, but she has not lost her determination, her energy, and her love of life.
Alopecia is an incurable autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. Through Alexi and her family we learned about The Children's Alopecia Project. This is the only non-profit devoted specifically to the disease. The CAP's mission is to help any child in need who is living with this life altering disease. Their goal is to build self-esteem in children so they become stronger teens, more productive adults, and the advocates of tomorrow.
Please help us to raise awareness about this cause! We invite anyone and everyone to join Team NuGo. We will take runners, donations, or cheers of encouragement from the sides of the race. Help us make this year's race bigger and better than the last one!
