It is estimated that more than one million people are living with HIV in the United States and one in every five people don't even know they're infected. Over five thousand men, women and children are living with HIV/AIDS in Kansas City. Over seven hundred are between the ages of 13 and 24.

I am participating the the Kansas City Aids Walk with the organization S.A.G.E (Straight and Gays for Equality) of which I am a part of on campus.The purpose of the organization is to provide LGBT students and their straight allies a safe (non-threatening, non-judgmental) place to talk about themselves, their experiences, and their development.

HIV/AIDS is a epidemic that really stands out to our organization and making a donation towards our fight back against it would help us to make a difference.
