Moore & Van Allen has been a Partner of Special Olympics North Carolina since 2005, and year after year employees have raised and contributed important funding for athletes in the Charlotte area who participate in year-round Special Olympics sports programs. 

This year, we have a unique opportunity to sponsor TEAM NORTH CAROLINA as team members train for and participate in the 2010 Special Olympics USA National Games in Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraksa this summer.  The Mecklenburg Patriots are proud members of Team NC and will be representing Charlotte and all of NC on the basketball court, competing with athletes from around the country in 5-on-5 competition.  The team has played hoops together for 12 years and has won an incredible six gold medals in SONC state-level competition. 

Many exciting opportunities and experiences are in store for the Patriots, and we know they will represent our state well.  The cost for each athlete to participate is approximately $1,000, which includes transportation, athlete uniforms, and all other costs related to this experience.  Join the Moore & Van Allen campaign and help give our hometown athletes a chance to go for the gold in Nebraska!
