SPECIAL OLYMPICS NORTH CAROLINA

Celebrating Special Olympics Athletes!

Celebrating Special Olympics Athletes!

Thanks to support and participation from people like you, Special Olympics North Carolina has had a terrific year!  Program achievements in 2008 include providing opportunities for thousands of athletes participating at local, area, state, and regional levels of competition!  Most recently, Special Olympics hosted its Fall Games state-level competition event in High Point, a wonderful weekend for more than 900 athletes and 1,100 community volunteers.

You have seen first hand the joys and excitement that Special Olympics brings to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, an enthusiasm that these athletes share readily with all who are involved in the Special Olympics movement. With your continued support in 2009, we look forward to welcoming more children and adults with intellectual disabilities to Special Olympics and to providing them with quality sports training and competition.  Since Special Olympics does not charge its athletes any type of participation fee, your gift will help with costs such as medals and ribbons for competition winners; competition facilities and sports equipment; and training for volunteer coaches.   Your support will create incredible opportunities for Special Olympics athletes in North Carolina.

Happy Holidays,
