Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my fundraising page!
This will be my final year with UNC Dance Marathon (I'm a senior at UNC), so I want to go big before I have to go home.
Last year so many people gave generously to help me reach $1,000. I can't thank you enough. This year I've upped my goal to $2,500 because of how incredibly touched I've been by this organization. I put countless hours into it and I still always get back more than I gave, so I'm asking you to join in to witness it all firsthand.
Here's a video made by my committee last year that shows how we directly impact patients and families at N.C. Children's Hospital: www.youtube.com/user/uncmarathon#p/u/3/2c2EQPuutFc
Here's another video that shows the lighter side of UNC Dance Marathon, a hit music video from my very own PUB committee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3-k4GiUJwk
I also had the incredible chance to write about my experience at last year's marathon and get it published in The Daily Tar Heel. It really sums up my experience, to the extent that words can ever explain it: tinyurl.com/6ejqmvh
Wondering how far I'm willing to go for the kids? Check out the pictures of me on our Flickr (linked on the right) at a recent Outreach event -- I took a serious sliming FTK. But really, all that and more.
For more basic information about UNC Dance Marathon, read below or check out our website: www.uncmarathon.org.
In the simplest terms, The UNC Dance Marathon is a student-run nonprofit organization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The largest student fundraiser on campus and one of the largest organization in North Carolina, and we work year-round to raise money to benefit the patients and families of N.C. Children’s Hospital, located on UNC’s campus. Our fundraising efforts culminate in a 24-hour celebration where hundreds of UNC students show their support for the patients and families by standing on their feet for the entire event. Last year, UNC-DM raised a total of $436, 709.61 through the marathon event, as well as a number of benefit concerts, campus fundraisers, eating contests, individual donations and more .
Thanks and FTK!!
