Open Arms Labor of Love
In honor of Labor Day, Open Arms Labor of Love fundraiser is raising funds to support five birthing women who would otherwise birth alone or with little support.
We want to meet or exceed our goal of raising $3500 by Labor Day, September 6.
If we make our goal, five women will be supported during their births with doulas who will provide physical, emotional and informational support before, during and after childbirth.

The need is great and your contribution will make a lifelong impact on women and their children. Every woman deserves to have birth support, yet every month, the demand for our perinatal services is higher than we can serve.

- Research shows women who have doula support have fewer complications such as c-sections, lower rates of postpartum depression, and are more likely to breastfeed.
- When a mom receives good support during birth and early postpartum, she's more likely to attach well to her baby - and this decreases risk of infant mortality and early child abuse and neglect.
- Parent/child attachment is an essential element in creating a solid foundation that ensures that children thrive in their learning and readiness for kindergarten.
