What We Do:
Our Bodies Ourselves does incredible things with a global network, full-time staff of six, and a few part-time contributors.

A few examples:

• We work with women's groups around the world who translate and adapt "Our Bodies, Ourselves." The book is currently in 24 languages.
• A group we work with in Japan coined new, positive words for female reproductive organs because there weren't any. These words are now in the Japanese dictionary.
• Another group in Nepal worked to get women's reproductive rights included in the country's new constitution.
• We're creating a 15-minute documentary to send to law makers in MA to promote the creation of a board of registration in midwifery.
• And we have a terrific blog that lays out the basics of current medical research in language everyone can understand.

Our Bodies Ourselves reaches communities around the globe by working hard to provide women and girls the health information they want and need. When a woman is given the information she needs, she is given the ability to make the best decisions for her health, her family and her life.

Our Mission:
Our Bodies Ourselves provides accessible, research-based information about women's health and sexuality. We advance health and human rights within a framework of values shaped by women's voices and a commitment to self-determination and equality.
