As many of you know, I have had a business for nine years doing Home Staging Consultations - working with real estate agents and people selling their homes. Since this year's CSNW goal is to raise money to replace three caged windows at the sanctuary with clear chimpanzee-proof glass, I thought it was a perfect match to help people with their own homes to benefit the Chimp House!

Staging differs from interior design in that we work with what you already own to give your home a new fresh look by changing such things as furniture placement, accessories, art work, paint colors, etc.- the ultimate in recycle!  You don't need to be selling your house to benefit from this service... it is a great idea for someone who has just moved, making a change in life style, or just wants a new look for very little money. 

For anyone contacting me to do a personal consultation in your home - or the home of a friend or family member - between now and October 1st (the date of this year's auction!) I will donate 100% of my fees to CSNW.  I am offering a reduced rate from $75/hr. to $50/hr. for this fundraiser.  (The average time of a  consultation is 2 hours.)  I normally work in the Seattle area - but for this time period, I will also do consulations in Roslyn, Cle Elum and Ellensburg.

In addition to the funds raised from this page - I will also be donating a percentage of all consultation fees collected through my business from January to October 1, 2010.
