Update 3/29/10: I am recovering from my 20 mile race yesterday. I ran in the Eastern States 20 Miler which begin in Kittery ME and ended at Hampton Beach. Great run but extremely windy (2 hours 51 minutes 8:35 pace). If I can keep this pace for the marathon, I could qualify!! This was the last of my long runs. Now 3 weeks of tapering and then race day! Very exciting!!! Thanks for all your support.

*******************************************************************************************Thank Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page in support of the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. Donating through this site is easy, fast and totally secure.
After running the Boston Marathon as part of "Dougie's Team" in 2008, I wasn't sure I would run it again but when the opportunity arose this year to run Boston in 2010 for the Flutie Foundation, I couldn't pass it up! This Foundation means the world to me and I hope you will support me in my run and my goal to raise funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.
As many of you know, our 6 1/2 year old daughter, Olivia, has autism and deals daily with the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorder. She attends both regular Kindergarten classes and Special Ed classes here in Bedford NH and is engaged in multiple and expensive therapies including Speech/Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social/Integration Therapy, Music Therapy and Hippotherapy (Therapy on Horesback). Each of these therapies, some at school and some outside of school, are focused on helping Olivia deal with the everyday world which you and I take for granted every day. She continues to make remarkable progress and remains the light of our lives.
It's reported that today, autism effects 1 in 110 children. Many families touched by Autism, can't afford the myriad of treatments and therapies required and this is where the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism steps in; offering grants and financial assistance to schools, agencies and individuals with the sole purpose of expanding the scope and availability of resources and assistance to those directly effected by this difficult and widespread disorder.
Our family is fortunate to have good insurance, a wonderful school system and personal financial resources to support our daughter. However, too many families like ours, can't afford or find the supports and treatments necessary for their autistic children. This is why I ran Boston 2 years ago and why I will be running again in 2010. Your donation will help to ensure resources, supports, therapies and treatments will be made available to autistic children and their families; particularly those that may not have the resources or financial ability on their own.
Your donation is fully tax deductible.
Thank you for your support of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism and for your continued encouragement of my Boston Marathon run and for Olivia's continued progress!
With Love and Appreciation,
Pam
