Hands Across California will literally join nearly all of the 112 community colleges in California in a vast statewide human chain stretching from San Diego through the Inland Empire and Central Valley to above Sacramento in the North, over to San Francisco and down the coast through Los Angeles and Orange County, and back to San Diego to complete the circle. Hands Across California will include more than 1.5 million people – students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and supporters of California’s community colleges – and will stretch more than 1,500 miles.
