May 9, 2009 will be the start of my 21st year with Bethany Christian Services of New England and I know no better way to highlight this occasion than to ask you to consider giving generously to a ministry that loves and cares for children like no other!   From the tiniest unborn baby - to a precious newborn infant - to wonderful children of America and overseas of all ages, backgrounds, and needs - to their birthfamilies - to their foster families and caregivers - to their forever adoptive families  - Bethany is there and offers care, sponsorship, and services in Jesus' name.  Our world truly needs Bethany Christian Services - not just for these 65 years since its beginning - but  for many, many years to come. 

• In 2009, May 9th happens to also be "Birthmother's Day" - an often lesser-known occasion that is celebrated on the day before the traditional "Mother's Day".  For each minimum $100 donation made through my Firstgiving page, starting now  and through May 7, 2009, I will add on your first name, along with mine, to a "Birthmother's Day" card that will be sent to one of the many very special women with whom I have had the pleasure to know and share in their adoption journeys.   If you have a special message and/or words of encouragement, I would also add those, as appropriate, to the card!

Also, I have a fundraising target amount of $5,909, reflecting "May 9, 2009".  Please help me honor these women - please help me in supporting and celebrating a wonderful ministry to children and families - please help me make, and even exceed, my target amount for Bethany in Massachusetts!  By giving to Bethany and supporting its ministry and services, you are sharing in the celebration of my own milestone - the completion of 20 years and the beginning of my 21st!
