The “Chicks” – aka The San Diego Luna Chix Team – are planning a marathon (26.2 mile) bike ride on August 7th to celebrate the victory one of their own had in conquering breast cancer. We are seeking your pledges to support the efforts of the Breast Cancer Fund (BCF) in preventing breast cancer.

Pam Wiedenkeller – a 2011 rookie on Team Luna Chix – was diagnosed in 1998 with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She underwent a lumpectomy, radiation, lost all her hair, but never her dignity or fighting spirit. An avid rock climber, runner, cyclist and backpacker, Pam endured a year of chemotherapy but emerged stronger than ever. She has been cancer-free for 12 years!

Team Luna Chix San Diego is composed of 10 women who are eager to share their energy and love of the outdoors. We seek to invite, inspire and encourage women to get outside and play, while raising money and awareness for the BCF.
