Each year law enforcement officers throughout the country are killed in the line of duty. These fallen hero's leave behind husbands, wives, children, family and friends. They have paid the ultimate sacrific while protecting and serving the citizens of this great country.

During National Law Enforcement Officers Week in May of each year, over one thousand law enforcement officers  ride their bicycles to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC. This bicycle ride is to raise awareness and pay tribute to those officers who paid the ultimate sacrifice and died in the line of duty. It is also to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial and Museum in Washington DC.

Three officers from the Paramus area: Craig McEllen - Paramus PD, Bob Daly - River Edge PD, and John Scully - Paramus PD, will ride this year in honor of the 3 fallen officers from Paramus.

The Tour leaves New Jersey on May 9, 2012 and arrives in Washington DC on May 12, 2012. The trek will consist of covering approximately 320 miles in the 4 days! The officers will also be part of the candle light vigil on May 13th in Washington at the Memorial.
