Why Not Party with a Purpose?

The 8th annual Party with a Purpose on Holmes Street will be on June 16, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 in Hyde Park. The festivities will be on Holmes Street between 36th Street and Gleed Terrace, rain or shine.

There will be live music, dinner & desserts, beer & wine, kids' drinks, a puppet show, a silent auction, and other activities. For the fifth year, Holmes Street homes will open their doors for first-floor tours. Adult admission is a mere $25 for the party, or $75 if you would like to also join us at the first-ever private Patron Party on June 7th.

Why the Party?

Party with a Purpose raises funds for AIDS Walk Kansas City, a not-for-profit dedicated to helping the many men, women and children in Kansas City living with HIV and AIDS. All of the money stays in the Kansas City area and helps people right here.

The event is free for kids, and adults are asked for a $25 donation per person. If you can't make it to the party - or even if you can - please help support those in need by making a fully tax deductible donation online, right here and right now.

Join Us at the First-Ever Patron Party

Patron-level donors ($75 donation or more per person) will be invited to the first-ever private Patron Party on June 7th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on the beautiful garden deck of Ralph and Marianne Getchell (3720 Holmes Street), with music by the Village Gypsy Jazz Band. The Patron Party will be open to Patron-level donors and Sponsors as a warm-up for the main event on June 16th. Please note in your donation comments that you are interested in attending the Patron Party.

Participate in the Silent Auction

The silent auction is a significant part of our fundraising effort. If you would like to enhance the auction with a donated item, please contact Janie Foltz at 816-260-4032. Your donated auction item is tax deductible at fair market value. (Please help keep the quality of the auction high by donating only items of a quality that you would be willing to bid on yourself.)

Become a Really Cool Sponsor

Businesses or individuals may become an event sponsor by making a sponsor-level donation. Bronze Sponsors ($250 or more) will receive two tickets to both Party with a Purpose on Holmes Street and the Patron Party. Silver Sponsors ($500 or more) receive four tickets to each event, and Gold Sponsors ($1000 or more) receive eight tickets to each event.

Sponsor logos or names will be included on all promotional materials, including the printed invitation (deadline for inclusion is May 18th), the e-mailed invitations, the event-day banner, and other printed and electronic information.
