Dear friends, co-workers, family and animal lovers,
Please support me as I take a “walk on the wild side"!
My dogs, go-go boots, hot pants, and love beads are ready to rock & roll, but I just can’t seem to get that bouffant hairdo just right!
Don’t forget your cameras, I may decide to strike a pose! This may be a Kodak moment! Lolo)
I’m ready to get my groove on for the fifth annual Grateful Dog Walk and raise much needed $$$ for CPAA’s “DeSex in the City” spay, neuter and vaccine program. Last year well over $120,000 was spent on spay and neuter surgeries for animals in need. Through this program, I have met many beautiful animals and very caring people. As co-founder and co-chair of the "DeSex in the City" spay & neuter program, I know how vital it is to keep donations coming in. YOU can helpMichele and I continue to set up surgeries and help animals stop reproducing. That's what it's all about, reducing animal overpopulation!
The little boy in the picture is “Lucky”, previously named “Finley”. Lucky is my poster boy this year.He was “bought” from Petz Unlimited in 2003 by a family from Duncannon. When he was about 16 months old, he bit one of the kids. He was on his way to be euthanized when a co-worker took him and placed him with her mother. The mother kept him for a few months until she had to be hospitalized. An email plea from her friend kept coming across the yahoo emails and when one came saying she was going to have to take him to the shelter, I called my good friend and “DeSex in the City” co-chair/co-founder, Michele Avery to take a road trip to Harrrisbug with me. Lucky came home with me that night and has been here ever since. That was September 2004 and yes, he has biten most of my family and Michele. Well, Lucky is still a biter, but he has given us many laughs and much enjoyment over the years. In honor of Lucky, I will work to raise $$$ for the “DeSex in the City” program. Lucky can’t live in just “any” home, but he can live in my home! Please “honor” Lucky’s life and other dogs like him by making a donation.
Please join me at WoofStock 2010. It’s a doggone, outta –sight hippie revival and doggie love-in that you don’t want to miss!
Please share this plea with others and if you would prefer to mail a donation, please do:

P.S.
All CPAA proceeds from WoofStock and The Grateful Dog Walk will go toward funding CPAA’s “De-Sex in the City” programs, which provides low and no cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccines to dogs and cats throughout Central Pennsylvania. CPAA’s mission is to end the killing of dogs and cats as the means of animal population control, through aggressive spay/neuter programs. Simply stated, if we can prevent the animals from being born through spaying and neutering, we can prevent them from being killed.
