Pat Machen Moy's Paddle Magic page
Many, many thanks to all those who helped me gather nearly $2,000 in contributions for Georgia River Network in connection with the 2011 Oconee River trip.
In 2012 I don't expect to get anywhere near that mark but will be grateful for any help in this year's effort to assist Georgia River Network and their great programs. I happily contribute to support their diligent work to safeguard the health of our rivers, but it may be easier for you just to envision helping underwrite the costs for the teachers as well as Camp Sunshine children who join us each year for life-changing adventures ... or the Adopt-A-Stream folks who come every year to teach people how to monitor neighborhood creeks and streams.
We'll be starting the Altamaha River paddle not too far from the confluence we nearly reached after paddling 106 miles last year, and the 2012 paddle will reach a saltier end (Aaron Neville should be crooning, "....where the river/ meets the sea...") near what I like to think of as our Home Port: Darien, GA. Every year I say "this river system is really special because..." So I won't do that again, even though the Altamaha IS extraordinary.
If anyone is uncomfortable with the online payment then just make a check payable to Georgia River Network, Inc. (TAX DEDUCTIBLE!) and mail it to my home address.
Big damp sloppy happy hugs to all, P
