As you may know, John is awaiting a life-saving kidney and liver transplant. We have just been informed that he is FIRST on the Massachusetts General Hospital AND Greater New England transplant lists! The phone call may come at any time! PLEASE, LET IT BE SOON!!
On Sunday, May 21, 2006, we participated in the 12th Annual Boston KIDNEY WALK sponsored by the National Kidney Foundation of MA, NH, RI and VT. TEAM IRISH ROVERS (including John) had a wonderful time & completed the walk in great time! As pictured, the walkers are: Front Row: Lynn Bushee (our friend), Johnnie, Philip Dowd (our Godson), Susan Dowd (our friend), me: Top Row: Mary Haas ( my Mom's friend-our friend, too!), Jay Dowd (John's friend since childhood) & my mother, Ellen Holmes. (We are showing off our Kidney Walk-Donate Life bracelets).
This is a non-profit organization that attempts to aid the estimated 20 million Americans suffering from kidney disease and the 90,000+ people waiting for a life-saving organ transplant.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE!!!!
