This Sunday, October 4, I am participating in the Walk of Hope to raise money for the Cancer Support Center with my family and friends in memory of a very special woman, Sue White. For those of you who did not know Sue, she was a beautiful person, she was very important to the kids at Parker Junior High, she was my mom’s best friend, and like an aunt to me. I will never forget her kindness. She is in my earliest memories and was there for me as I moved into being an adult.

Sue lost her battle with cancer this summer. She was looking forward to participating in this year's walk.  Team Cicada (named after her favorite bug) is walking in her memory.
