Spiff is walking this year for all the magic her paw prints, and those of her Pet Hug Pack team members, have left on the lives of others.

ARF's Pet Hug Pack Team was formed in 2002 to promote the concept that people's lives can be enhanced by the interaction with companion animals. Studies show that interaction with pets can lower blood pressure and create a feeling of well being. Patients closed down or unresponsive will open up when petting an animal.

Today they bring their special brand of healing, love, compassion and education to hospitals, assisted living facilities, adult and child day care centers, hospice and children's reading and humane education programs.

Our All Ears Reading® program helps children improve their reading skills and enhances their relationship with animals in a supportive, non-judgemental enviornment fostering an eagerness to read.
