Spiff and I will be walking for the third year in the Paws on Parade fundraising walk on May 3 that kicks off our annual Animals on Broadway festivities. We are walking to raise funds for orphaned dogs and cats whose lives would otherwise be needlessly cut short. The need is greater this year due to the wave of foreclosures that has tragically left many more animals homeless.

We also walk to raise awareness of ARF's Pet Hug Pack visiting animal therapy program which Spiff so eagerly participates in. The therapy team visits hospitals, senior centers, rehab centers and adult/children developmental disabilty day care centers spreading their unconditional love to brighten the lives of others. For many this is the only visit they receive. We also participate in children's reading programs and school humane education presentations.
