We're fundraising again for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.  When Bailey was born we were faced with many uncertainties.  The medical community wasn't much help, and we were clueless.  Finally, we met several people in our local area who were there to guide us.  Many of those people were from the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.  The DSACF people have given us hope and encouragement, something we didn't have when Bailey was born.  The money raised from this walk will help other families like us.  It will be used to provide packets for new families, support meetings, the Down syndrome clinic, support with IEP's, therapy scholarships, and much more! 

So much has changed for Bailey since we first started participating in this event.  Bailey was just 5 months old when we walked for the first time.  Bailey was able to join us for the walk and it was just a few weeks after she had open heart surgery.  She was on oxygen at the time and was also tube fed.  The next year, she was still being tube fed, but we were oxygen free and she was sitting unassisted!  When Bailey was two she participated in her third walk, she was tubeless and was SO close to walking it herself.  This year, BAILEY WILL BE WALKING!  We're so excited!
