It goes against my better judgement, human decency, and all that I hold dear in this world but this year I am - once again - growing a mustache to help save KIDS (that is right...kids) with cancer.

Here is the deal:

From Jan 1 until March 17th I have to work on growing my mustache.  I create this campaign page soliciting your support and on St. Patty's day the candidate who has raised the most money is crowned Mayor McStache.  I am the reigning Mayor and I am still trying to recover from the week in March of last year that I walked around with a mustache and faced ridicule, humiliation, and completely unwarranted police harrasment.

However, I'll soldier on in my re-election bid since these kids can use all the help we can give.

I'm currently hiding my stache in an overgrown beard and - like all contestants - I only have to 'display' my true intentions for publicly wearing my stache for  ONE WEEK in March.  At the Cure Me I'm Irish event on March 5th we invite all contestants to attend and  show off their stache for a chance to win the coveted "Most Outstanding Mustache" trophy.  Contestants are encourage to choose a mustache theme and accompanying costumes will be considered in the final judge of the M.O.M. trophy presentation.  

I am seriously considering a "Quint" from Jaws theme this year but I hold judgement on the final decision until March 5th.
