Dawn to Dusk!
Good morning to all you lovely friends, Family and Co-workers. I must honestly say you are looking lovely this morning and many of you have dug deep and helped out with my fundraising efforts for this awesome Dawn to Dusk Cross Country skiing challenge I am undertaking on February 10th. To those of you that have donated already I sincerely thank you for your help, I would name names, however in risking that non-donators this time would recognize your name and hit you giver’s up in the future for their own personal fundraising conquests. To those that have, you know who you are and you will get an ice cream soon.
To those who haven’t I am here to plead my case again. As previously mentioned I have pledged to ski 15 kilometers which is the equivalent of 1,800 miles I think. Over this past weekend I had the opportunity to do some preliminary training. I skied 7k, fell down 4 times and also collapsed at the end of exhaustion. This was only half of what I have pledged to do for charity, so on the 10th things should be interesting as I attempt to ski my goal. My shoulders and quads are still killing from my “training” and well….I have some work cut out for me.
In addition as I mentioned before this fundraising money goes to Northeast Passage (www.nepassage.org) a non-profit organization located out of UNH that provides therapeutic recreation services for folks living with disabilities and what they do is incredible. Sled hockey, kayaking, cross country skiing and just about any sport imaginable…they provide the opportunity for people to have fun. Plus, this is still the organization that my partner Crystal works for and she is still hoping that my fundraising increases fundraising and she can get her monogrammed robe and slippers. I’m telling you all I hear all day and night is how badly she wants a monogrammed robe and slippers, and your contribution helps her achieve this magnificent goal!
So please if you could donate only $1.00 if you can, everything helps and I am not looking for you to forgo your rent or bills to help my out. Head on over to my fundraising page at www.firstgiving.com/patrickskahan to donate securely with a credit or debit card!
Thanks again…your all beautiful people.
Hugs and kisses,
Patrick
