Our son, Caleb, is a five year old boy and was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. Autism has affected Caleb's ability to speak, process information, and interact socially. He also has a limited sense of danger and poor impulse control. One of his favorite things to do is to run away from Mom and Dad when we call him. He laughs and thinks it is a game, but we don't think it's funny and it has brought up numerous safety concerns. We believe a service dog will help with Caleb's behavioral and social development and, most importantly, help provide for his safety. The donation level required for the dog is $13,500 and we thank you for helping us raise funds in order to provide Caleb with an ASDA service dog specifically trained to assist children with autism.
Caleb is a sweet boy with a kind disposition. He loves riding his bike and scooter and playing with Daddy's computer and Ipod. His favorite movie is Finding Nemo and he can pretty much watch it anytime. He loves giving Mommy and Daddy kisses and he has developed connections with his grandparents and his twin brother, Liam. He has a good, though mischievous, sense of humor and he loves to play tricks and test his limits. Caleb is a handful, but he has been a joy and a blessing and we love him very much.
