On April 23rd, Jean Luc Butel, John Barrett, Mike LaRose and Paul Clarke, hereafter refered to as the "Medtronic Pacers",  will participate in a 100KM race through the lush countryside of Odawara, Japan.

The event is sponsored by Oxfam and seeks to raise funds for a number of outstanding charity projects throughout Asia. Please see the following website for more details. http://trailwalker.jp/en/

The event is a four person team event (All 4 members have to complete the 100KM course within 48 hours) The course in split into 9 stages, with elevation heights in some areas in excess of 1,200 metres.  The terrain is both on and off road and will involve running through the night. Last year, more than 170 teams competed in the event.
