Well, I'm back again for the second year riding to raise $ for Aids Care.  This year's AIDS Red Ribbon Ride has gone from a 1 day ride to a 5 day ride! (August 18th - 22nd)   The ride will take us along a beautiful  route through the Finger Lakes Region of NYS. 

I have volunteered to serve as a member of the Support Crew for the first four days - then I will ride 100 miles on the last day with my Riders of the HIghest Order team.

I am doing this because I strongly believe in the folks at Aids Care and the work they are doing to help educate people about HIV infection.  Did you know?

• 1 in 4 individuals that have HIV don't know it. 
• On a national level, 67% of all HIV infections among women occur through heterosexual sex.
• Rochester has the 2nd highest HIV infection rate per capita in the state.
• HIV infections among African American females in Monroe County increased dramatically over the past 5 years. 

Those who know me well can guess which aspect of the ride I'm helping out with - yes, that's right ....the rest stops!!   That's where the food is!!
