Pedaling for Duchenne
Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page.
My son Hawken has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is not able to ride a bike. He uses a scooter to get around or he rides on Daddy's shoulders. Recently, after a strenuous hike during a family outing, Hawken asked, with tears in his eyes, what will happen when I can no longer carry him on my shoulders. My response was that I will always be able carry him. In many ways, we need to be strong for our children. In our case, I literally need to keep my legs strong.
Additionally, our foundation, CureDuchenne is focused on funding a cure and life improving treatments for the boys with Duchenne, so that they keep their own muscles strong. Please support me in my efforts to stay strong for the cause. For the first time there is hope that this generation of boys with Duchenne may be saved. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! Thank you! Paul
