Dear Friends,

I am honored to support Ronald McDonald House Charities by participating in the "Chef of the House" challenge (on August 2nd).  What a LOT of fun we'll have!  I wonder what the "secret ingredient' will be??!!

My goal is to raise a month's stay for a family - 30 nights at $65/night.  I would appreciate your supporting me and this worthy cause.  The event's prize sponsor, Kitchenware Outfitters, will be giving a  $25 gift certificate to every donor who contributes $65 or more to my page between now and the competition (certificates will be mailed directly to you). 

At the event, I will be peparing a meal for the residents of Ronald McDonald House.  I'll be competing with Chef Nick Mueller (a local chef and friend from Savannah).  

The Savannah Ronald McDonald House provides comfort and a place to stay for parents with critically ill or injured children.  Their 10-bedroom house offers all the qualities of home - - beds, showers, laundry room and a home-cooked meal prepared each night by community volunteers with their Adopt A Meal program.  Raising funds makes it possible for families to stay regardless of their financial situation.  The House operates at nearly 100% occupancy, 365 days a year.  It costs RMHC $65 per day to provide its brand of hospitality for each family.
