Every year the New England Region of the Sports Car Club of America holds a fund raiser to benefit the U-Mass Memorial Foundation.   The event is held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire.  There we run road races on the track, use the track for the start and end of a road rally, and use the parking lots for our Solo (autocross) event.  Additionally, we run a rallycross up the road in Belmont.

I run in the autocross portion of the event called the Jeff Gordon Challenge - this is a single elimination format where the No. 1 seed is given to the person that raises the most amount of money.

The UMass Memorial Foundation raises funds on behalf of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Health Care, Inc. Through the careful and responsible stewardship of these funds, the Foundation works with donors to facilitate advancements in medical research, patient care and the education of tomorrow’s medical professionals. Some of the programs supported through gifts to the Foundation include cancer research, pediatric child life services, newborn intensive care, hospice care, equipment needs for research and patient care, and medical education.
