I have been volunteering at Hinsdale Humane Society since November 2007, mainly walking the dogs once a week. I must say it has meant more to me than I ever anticipated, and I expect to be a volunteer for as long as I can still walk! The best reward for a volunteer is finding out when a dog or cat has been adopted into their forever home: a win--win--win result for everyone! My fundraising is being done in honor of our black lab mix Inky, who passed away in 2006, and Casey the cat, who is still going strong in her 18th year! Both Inky and Casey were rescues who forever enriched our lives.

The annual Pet Walk in June is the shelter's biggest fundraiser of the year, and helps us to care for as many animals as possible during the year. To show my commitment to this cause, I WILL PERSONALLY MATCH ANY DONATION FROM YOU!!
