Our adult sons Paul Jr.and John are diagnosed with Fragile-X Syndrome.  Fragile-X Syndrome is the most common type of inherited Intellectual Disability (formerly called mental retardation).  Our sons early life experiences centered around physical, occupational, speech, sensory and play therapy.  They both attended special education classes throughout their formal school years, graduating from the Niles North High School Special Education Program.  Nancy and I have been blessed during our journey with our daughter Melissa and the many supportive family members and friends.  Paul and John live at Misericordia and are thriving, living full and productive lives.  There are over 600 families with a family member that are a part of the Misericordia Family.   Misericordia has provided Nancy and I peace of mind that our most vulnerable loves ones are compassionately cared for.
