To our friends, family, and community,
We (Bonnie and Jack Matthews, mother-son) will be embarking on a bicycle trip across the US this summer (June and July 2012), truly an adventure of a lifetime! We will be raising funds for the Special Olympics of Lancaster County, PA.
We leave June 3, 2012 for the West coast with our bikes on Amtrak and will pedal from Oregon to Delaware. We hope to dip our back tires in the Pacific on June 7 and dip our front tires in the Atlantic on or before August 1, 2012!
We want our trip to count for something special, so we'll be raising funds for Special Olympics of Lancaster County, PA as we pedal. The Special Olympics of Lancaster County is a volunteer organization, founded in 1983 which provides year-round sports training and competition programs for individuals from ages 6 and up with intellectual disabilities. They offer 15 different Olympic-type sports at no cost to the athletes or their families. We are fortunate to be able to fund raise for such a great organization.
