Peggy Schultz's Fundraising Page in Memory of John F. Kelly
On December 25, 2006, I spent my last Christmas with our my dear brother John, who lost his battle with cancer in March, 2007 at the age of 51. Looking back at family photos of Christmases past, it is still difficult to believe he will not be in another family Christmas photo.
I began participating in the Walk of Hope several years ago, to show my support for a friend who thankfully is still with us. Never did I expect to walk as a sister of a brother stricken and taken from us by cancer.
I am once again asking for your support for the Cancer Support Center. The center offers wonderful programs for families dealing with cancer including various types of therapies, group support and children's activities. It receives no federal or local funding. They depend on the kindness of your donations and many wonderful volunteers to keep the center up and running. I understand many people are experiencing difficult economic times. Unfortunately, cancer does not take a vacation during a poor economy.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please consider donating whatever amount your budget can handle. Every dollar counts.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. You may donate on behalf of a friend or relative who is or has been affected by cancer. If you would like to form your own team or fundraise along with my team, please consider getting involved. The center can always use more volunteers. You will not find a better office staff to work with. They are the best!
Many thanks for your support.
Love,
Peggy
