I LOVE RUNNING!!!!! and I run for a purpose.  I do it for the challenge, to better myself, to hang with very cool people at Starbucks..LOL! AND last but certainly not least....for MMI!!!!!!

I ran my first 1/2 marathon at the Two Cities in 2009 and was able to finish in 2:45...that's me in the picture ready to die at the end!!!!  I was sooo excited and happy I was able cross over that finish line without the help of an o2 tank or a walker...LOL....I felt so alive (but sore)...and proud of myself and my friends!!  That 5 months of training really paid off!!! I will run the Nike 1/2 in October 2010 and again the Two Cities 1/2 in November 2010...AND hopefully a Triathalon in my future!!!....I will definately do the full next year...GOD willing!

The M*A*S*H (Medical Aid Sending Hope) team was started to help raise money for MMI (Medical Ministries International). They get unused medical equipment and supplies and ships crates all over the world to needy countries.  They also send medical teams and volunteers to assist in any way they can.  They welcome volunteers to help out in their warehouses to pack the supplies.  Last year our MASH team raised $40,000 for MMI and were able to send 40 crates to Haiti this year.......we are truely grateful!

It has been such a blessing to be a part of this ministry and I have gained such great friendships along the way.  It's great to connect with people that have the same passion as you.  Running to raise money for Medical Ministries International is such an honor and I am so happy I am able to contribute to something I strongly believe in, reaching the world and lending a hand to people less fortuneate.  That's what it is all about!.....when I run....and feel pain...I think of that!!
