The Boomer Esiason Foundation

NYC Marathon 2008

Pete Abitante's Fundraising Page

I ran my first marathon (2003) for myself.  Now I want to run one for someone else.

During the past 5 months, I've covered more than 500 miles -- training before sunrise and after sunset, in heat and humidity and cold and frost.  Getting to the starting line in one piece is an underestimated achievement in itself, and I seem to have accomplished that.

That said, the Kenyans are safe.  I will break no records on Nov. 2 but I will run every step to benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation and its fight to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Debbie, George and Elle have already made their pledges.  In this challenging economic climate, I would ask you to make a donation of any size to benefit this incredible organization.  I am deeply grateful for your support and look forward to writing you from the finish line.

Please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

My best.

Pete
