Special Olympics changes lives by benefiting more than 9,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities across our Commonwealth and impacts communities in many powerful ways. Your donation to Special Olympics Virginia through this event is vital in making transformation possible and changing views about people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Virginia uses sports as a catalyst to change society’s perceptions and treatment of people with intellectual disabilities. This is an incredible cause, and I hope that you will come down and watch me take part in this great event.


Here's my take:

These athlete's have shown me everything that is awesome about the human race, point blank. I not only love supporting this cause, especially the ocean dip I get to do in February without getting yelled at by the cops. I also love supporting these great group of folks, both the athletes that show excellent teamwork and sportsmanship as well as the volunteers that make this all possible. It shows that the human spirit is, at it's very core, loving and giving of itself.
