The Alliance for Families and Children is a regional nonprofit founded in 1909, dedicated to serving residents of Central Virginia. We are a United Way agency. Our mission is to strengthen families for success. Our services include: loans for the purchase of a car to maintain employment, child abuse prevention, substance abuse prevention, budget assistance and support services, mental health counseling, anger management, and support for first-time and teen parents through home visitation.
