The Humane Society of Broward County's Walk for the Animals is the largest fundraiser that we have and I have been participating every year since it began 19 years ago.  It is an amazing event that continues to grow in dollars raised and with attendees. 

This year I'm walking in honor of all my pets, that equals 40 legs.  They all bring me such joy each and every day.

In the past 12 months our shelter has assisted with 2 huge puppy mill busts in TN and VA.  Our staff went to these states and brought back animals that had no where else to go.  We provided medical care and lots of TLC and thanks to all our wonderful foster homes these dogs were able to find new loving homes.  In addition, we started hosting birthday parties for kids and held low-cost vaccination clinics so people could afford to get their pets vaccinated. 

We are only able to do these programs and services because of donations from people like you.  People who want to help us help the animals.  So I hope we can count on your support.  Remember your donation is tax-deductible, so please give whatever you can.  The animals are counting on you.
