CAMP HAPPY DAYS INC
As many of you know, I spend each summer at Camp Happy Days, which is a week long summer camp for children with cancer, children who are in remission, and their siblings. I attended Camp Happy Days as a camper, and I've been volunteering as a camp counselor for the last five summers. Camp Happy Days is an extremely important part of my life because I can honor the memory of my brother, Daniel, who passed away from leukemia in 1996. Although this will be my 16th summer at Camp Happy Days, Daniel was never healthy enough to attend camp. I volunteer my time each summer to help give other campers the experience I wish Daniel could have had.
The campers, counselors, staff, and volunteers at Camp Happy Days have truly made an impact on my life. Each summer, I watch my campers do amazing things, like parasailing and conquering the high ropes course, the rock wall, and the flying trapeze. Because of these things, and the other wonderful activities that Camp Happy Days is able to provide, the campers realize that they can be a normal kid- without having to think about cancer, chemotherapy, or medicine.
Please consider donating to Camp Happy Days, which is completely cost-free for the children. Please help us send these kids to camp!
