I've pledged to run 26.2 miles (just typing that is daunting) and raise $5,000 dollars for Horizons for Homeless Children, a fantastic organization in Boston that helps improve the lives of homeless kids.

Horizons for Homeless Children provides comprehensive early education services for homeless children while it connects their parents with critical support services and resources that help them break the cycle of homelessness. HHC also creates playspaces equipped with trained volunteers at local homeless shelters in order to engage them in educational activities while they stay in the shelters and the organization is actively involved with legislators at the state and federal levels, championing the issues that affect homeless children and their families. 

There are 100,000 homeless children in Massachusetts and family homelessness is the fastest growing segment of the homeless population, making up 40% of the group. 

This is will be my first marathon and it will be quite a challenge, I'll appreciate every bit of support! I'm on track to complete the marathon (ran 18 miles last week!) and would really love to reach my fundraising goal as well.  So please sponsor me! I'll truly appreciate any amount!
