My name is Rachel O'Hara and I am a photojournalism student at Ohio University. I have been involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters since I did a photo story on Tara Gilts, the program coordinator at BBBS in Athens. Soon I was so into it that I too wanted to help and be involved in BBBS.

I have been a big for 6 months now to a wonderful little girl. It is a great way to be involved in the community I attend college at and also a great way to give back to those who may be struggling in this Appalachian area.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Athens County relies, primarily, through small donations from people who want to improve the way children are growing up in America. BBBS needs your help to continue helping families and kids in Athens and Vinton County.  

On May 1st we will be having a bowling fundraiser, "Bowl for Kids' Sake", at The Rollerbowl Lanes in Athens. By donating you will be helping me help BBBS to be able to continue to do all the amazing things they have been doing for these children.
