My Mission to Serve in Uganda
Please help me reach out to AIDS orphans and widows!
My name is Rachel Pendakur and I'm a Sophomore at Forest Grove High School. I'm an active member in the Bible Church of Dilley youth group and this past year God layed it on our hearts to go on a mission trip to Uganda. Our youth group leaders heard about an organization called Aids Orphans Empowerment Training (AOET). AOET is a non-governmental organization thats purpose is to provide education (formal and/or vocational) to the desperately poor widows and orphans who have been affected by AIDS. AOET also works to get orphans placed in homes so they won't be alone on the streets. Our team would help with building projects, mobile medical units, visiting the homes of people struck by AIDS, and serving in any other way possilbe.
I really believe that God wants me to be a part of this mission but I need funding, help, and prayer. You can be a big part of this mission too!
"For this service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God." 2 Cor 9:12
