Hey everyone! Thanks for visiting my page! I just got back from another amazing year at Bearskin Meadow Diabetes Camp (a.k.a. BMC). It was my eighth year of going to camp and my first time at teen camp. I've grown a lot since that first dusty drive up the mountain with my family and it's pretty amazing how much camp has changed my life. I think I'm almost glad I have diabetes simply because I get to go to BMC every year.
Every year I learn something new about diabetes at camp. This year I am finally able to put in my own insulin pump sites, all thanks to the supportive environment at BMC. The staff there is great and makes you feel at home with their quirky and endearing personalities. The doctors and nurses are amazing as well. They're always there to help with your diabetes and teach you about new diabetic technology.
I'm not sure how I'd be living my life right now if I hadn't discovered BMC. I want to share the experience with other people by fundraising money for camp scholarships, because everyone deserves to go to camp no matter what. Help me by donating money to this page before November 22! Even $10 will help. If I get 11 more people to donate $10 then I will reach my goal of $950! Thanks!
