Dear Friends, 

I'm Rachel, and I am so excited to be returning to the South Deanery Dance Marathon Executive Committee for the second time. I participated in the marathon as a dancer sophomore year, and last year was my first time helping to organize the event. After an amazing experience last year, I am ecstatic to apply what I learned and create an even better event this year!

Raising over $20,000 last year, we have quite a goal to meet this year, but I believe that our committee has the motivation, the dedication, and the passion to do better than ever! After a tough year of losing one of my classmates and friends shortly after last year's dance marathon and another classmate being diagnosed with leukemia, I have a whole new drive for the event, and I believe that the other members of my committee could say the same. This year, we will stand together, strong and motivated by those familiar faces. The marathon may take almost nine months of planning, but the most beautiful part is seeing it all come together at the end. I have faith in my committee and in the dancers that we can make this our most meaningful and highest earning year ever!
