SOWIC's Education and Life Skills (ELS) program provides students with educational and social experiences to assist them in transitioning to adulthood as active productive members of their community. The program is structured to provide both academics and life skills experiences in a small and supportive environment. Students receive a research-based curriculum with instruction tailored to meet their individual needs. The ELS program is housed in age-appropriate public school settings and provides opportunities for students to interact with typical peers through inclusion in general education activities and community outings. The multidisciplinary team consists of special education teachers, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school nurse, social worker, psychologist, adaptive PE teacher, program assistants and administrator. The ELS staff is dedicated to providing a high quality educational program for children between the ages of 3 and 21 years of age.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
