++++++++++++ UPDATE Jan 23, 2009 ++++++++++++++++++++++++
At the time I'm writing this we are at $1155. Please remember that we're doing this for the kids, so please continue to donate above and beyond my original goal.
Food for thought: The average cost per athlete in the Special Olympics program is $453. So $1359 we would, on average, cover the cost for three athletes.

Please help me support Special Olympics by making a donation towards my plunge!
For the 2009 Plunge I will be plunging in my Cub Scout Leader Uniform (Pack 3400) as part of a team called "The Cubmasters" which is made up of brave, caring, and slightly crazy Cubmasters (and assistants) from the area. If you haven't guessed by now there will be a friendly competition among the Cubmasters of the local Packs to see who can collect the most money and get the biggest cheering section on Plunge Day.
The 2009 KS Polar Bear Plunge will be Saturday, January 31st at Shawnee Mission Lake.
I'll be doing the easy part by simply jumping into a 32 degree lake. I now ask that all of you do the difficult part by taking the time RIGHT NOW to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
As I mentioned, I'll be plunging in my Cub Scout uniform, but as an added incentive to the highest individual donor, I will wear the hat, helmet, plunger, or bandana of their choice when I plunge.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
